A Monastery ritual looks something like this:
Oil cleanse
start with Rose Cleansing Oil, massaging it onto dry skin to cleanse while supporting the skin microbiome.Second cleanse or gentle cleanse
Some rituals follow with Sage Cleansing Oil Treatment / exfoliation
Products like Gold or XX are used as exfoliating or treatment masks for glow and texture.Facial massage
Massage is a huge part of the Monastery experience, using hands or gua sha on the skin to encourage circulation and lymphatic drainage.Moisture + sealing everything in
They finish with richer botanical products like Attar or Flora to deeply hydrate and create that signature dewy glow.

Every product is hand-poured by the Monastery team in their lab and headquarters in San Francisco. The fact that their products are made in-house gives us confidence that they are putting out the best possible product and that no product is going to waste sitting on a shelf getting expired. A skincare brand manufacturing and formulating their own products is rare in this industry and something they pride themselves on. Each product is a true expression of their love and appreciation for the ingredients and their natural healing properties.
They also work directly with the farmers who grow and process the source ingredients.

Their packaging reflects the same level of care, using primarily glass, metal, and paper components that are widely recyclable and lower impact than traditional plastic. These materials not only reduce waste but can often be reused, supporting a more circular and conscious approach to skincare.
